BASS-LINE TEACHER TRAINING
06.-11.09.2027

A 6 day immersive
50 HRS Teacher Training led by RocketBeats London

A 50 hour Teacher Training, giving you all the tools to start teaching the RocketBeats methodology

The RocketBeats Bass-Line Teacher Training is a six-day exploration into the art of sequencing. At its heart is our approach to building dynamic, anatomically informed vinyasa practices that develop strength, mobility and body awareness through purposeful progression. There are three key principles that underpin the RocketBeats methodology:

Progression for all levels
We believe a good sequence should offer something to everyone. We explore how to build progressive sequences that allow students to work at different levels, developing their physical capacity and technical understanding over time. It’s about creating opportunities to explore, rather than simply presenting a series of increasingly difficult poses.

Anatomically informed sequencing
Every sequence has a purpose. We look at the anatomical movements and physical actions that underpin each practice, and how to build sequences around them.

Using our four directions of travel – UP (shoulders), DOWN (hips), FORWARDS (front body and core) and BACKWARDS (back body) – we explore how to create focused, coherent practices.

Balancing strength and flexibility
We believe the two should go hand in hand. We explore how to develop strength alongside mobility and flexibility, and how to create practices that build capacity without simply chasing greater range of movement.

What to expect

Over the six days, you’ll spend time developing your own UP, DOWN, FORWARDS and BACKWARDS sequences, putting the principles into practice and exploring how to make them work in a real classroom. You’ll learn how to:

– Create purposeful drills that isolate and develop the key anatomical actions within each direction.

– Build modified sun salutations that introduce and progressively develop those actions.

– Develop vignettes – short, focused mini-sequences that help students explore specific movements, transitions and skills.

– Bring these elements together into complete, progressive vinyasa sequences.

– Use neutralisation to balance the body and bring a practice back towards equilibrium after focused directional work.

By the end of the training, you’ll have developed four complete sequences of your own – one for each direction of travel – incorporating drills, modified sun salutations and vignettes. They’re yours to take away and teach straight away and develop and change over time.

Although the training introduces the RocketBeats methodology, the principles of good sequencing are applicable to any dynamic vinyasa class. Whether you’re looking to develop your teaching or simply deepen your understanding of how a practice is constructed, there’s plenty to take away.

Training Format

This 6-day immersive Teacher Training combines RocketBeats practice, anatomy & movement labs, methodology and hands-on teaching workshops.

The training takes place at Mirabellenhof in Brandenburg, just about an hour from Berlin. With a yoga shala, beautiful gardens and plenty of outdoor space, it’s the perfect setting for a week of practice and learning. There’s room to take sessions outside, enjoy the garden or head out for a walk between training sessions.

With accommodation and all meals included, you’ll spend the week fully focused on learning the RocketBeats methodology, exploring the four directions of travel and developing your own sequences.

The schedule combines intensive training days with a lighter day in the middle of the week, giving you time to work on your sequencing assignments and enjoy some free time.

Your Immersive Week

  • 5 Full Training Days: 8 hours per day of RocketBeats practice, anatomy & movement labs, drills, sequencing, breath and philosophy.

  • 1 Shorter Training Day: 4 hours of practice and methodology, with the rest of the day free.

  • 6 Hours of Self-Study: Developing your own UP, DOWN, FORWARDS and BACKWARDS sequences, incorporating drills, modified sun salutations and vignettes.

  • All-Inclusive Experience: 6 days together, with accommodation and all meals included, so you can focus entirely on the training.

Meet Your Teachers

Imi Wiseman & Alan Ellman

Founders of RocketBeats London

Meet Imi and Alan, the London-based teaching duo behind RocketBeats.

With over 22 years of combined teaching experience, they’ve developed their own approach to dynamic vinyasa yoga, bringing together elements of Dharma Yoga, Handstands, Rocket Yoga, , Pilates,  movement science, anatomy and creative sequencing.

Their approach challenges traditional yoga conventions, encouraging students and teachers to explore movement, question established methods and develop their own understanding of the practice.

Together, they teach at leading London studios and run RocketBeats Teacher Trainings and immersions internationally.

For this 50-hour Bass-Line Teacher Training, they’ll bring their methodology, experience and hands-on teaching approach to our immersive week in Berlin.

After the incredible success of their Immersive Week in Berlin, we couldn’t be happier to welcome them back for this 50-hour Bass-Line Teacher Training. And beyond being brilliant teachers, they’re simply great people to be around. Spending six days learning, practising and hanging out with these two is an experience in itself!

Who is this training for

This training is suitable for anyone who has already completed a yoga teacher training and maintains a regular dynamic physical yoga practice.

We also welcome dedicated practitioners who haven’t completed a teacher training but are curious to deepen their understanding of yoga, movement and sequencing.

You don’t need to have an advanced physical practice or master challenging poses to participate. The focus is not just on physical practice, but also on understanding the RocketBeats methodology, exploring movement and learning how to create intelligent, progressive sequences.
